Niemann-Pick Disease Type C (NPC) is an example of one of these diseases, and one of its main symptoms is dementia. (Hinton et al, 2005)

Evaluation of Biochemical Markers and Clinical Investigation of niemann-pick Disease, Type C

Currently 32 patients have completed this Clinical Investigation for the evaluation of biochemical markers into the diesease. This study will evaluate clinical and laboratory tests that might be useful in determining if an investigational drug can slow the progression of Niemann-Pick Disease, Type C (NPC).
